Climbable Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Climbable app ("Climbable," "we," "our," or "us"). By downloading or using Climbable, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Climbable is

Climbable provides climbing-condition forecasts for Australian crags, combining weather data with a friction score to help you decide whether conditions are suitable for climbing. Forecasts are provided for informational and planning purposes only.

2. Not a safety guarantee

Climbable's scores and forecasts are estimates based on available weather data and general rock-drying behaviour. They are not a substitute for your own on-site judgement. Rock conditions, weather, and climbing hazards can vary from any forecast, and you are solely responsible for assessing actual conditions and your own safety before and during climbing. Climbable is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from reliance on the app's forecasts or scores.

Prices are set in Australian dollars and may vary by region in accordance with Apple's pricing tiers; the exact price for your region and currency is always shown on the purchase screen before you buy.

Payment and auto-renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew for the same length of term unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the then-current price. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or via the App Store app. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period. Refunds, where applicable, are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's Media Services Terms.

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store; Climbable does not receive or store your payment details.

4. Community-contributed check-ins

Climbable lets you optionally log an anonymous "I climbed here" check-in with the day's conditions. By submitting a check-in, you agree that this information may be used to help keep crag condition data current for other climbers. Check-ins are not linked to your identity.

Climbable, its name, logo, and app content are owned by us or our licensors. You're granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app for its intended purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

7. Availability and changes

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of Climbable at any time, including forecast data sources, crag coverage, or subscription features. We'll make reasonable efforts to preserve access for active Pro subscribers but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, as forecasts depend on third-party weather data providers outside our control.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Climbable if you violate these Terms. You may stop using Climbable and delete the app at any time; see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Climbable is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on forecast data in outdoor or climbing activities.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

We may update these Terms as Climbable evolves. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
